Thank you for your support of your PTO this year!
For all of you that volunteered, helped fundraise, donated, or participated — we truly couldn’t do it without you.
We would like to wish a healthy, joyous, and peaceful holiday season and Happy New Year to our wonderful school community
A few words of gratitude from our teachers:
“Thank you, Yarmouth PTO for your fundraising. For those who don’t know the PTO supports students and teachers by funding field trips, guest speakers, performers, and a variety of other experiences that enrich the curriculum. With the PTO, these events would not happen, as there is simply not money for them in the schools’ budgets.”
-Kate Parkin, 4th-grade teacher
“On Thursday, HMS 7th graders had the exciting opportunity to experience “A Christmas Carol” at The Public Theater in Lewiston. In class, we have been reading and discussing important aspects of Dickens’ classic tale. This hour-long performance included a lively cast who engaged the students by using costume and voice changes to drift between roles. It was the perfect way to celebrate our work with the story and bring this timeless story to life for our students. One 7th grader reported, “Scrooge was my favorite character!” and remarked about the impressive acting. Another student commented on how the Public Theater gave the story a “modern twist,” by having a young boy become part of the play as he reads the story for homework. Thank you, PTO families for making this possible for our seventh grade students at Frank Harrison Middle School!”
