From Merry Stuhr, School Librarian, Harrison Middle School:
Please extend our THANKS to the PTO for the latest gift, a GoPo Hero 5 Black! We pulled it out of its box on the very first day we were back from February break, and a lot of enthusiastic students wanted to be part of the action. We set up the camera in our tray feeder (a PTO gift from last year for Project FeederWatch) and captured our first up-close videos of birds! We are still editing the videos to remove the sections with no birds present, but some of our students did capture some stills from the videos. I’m attaching them to this email, in case there is a way for you to share at least some of them with the group at your next PTO meeting. We currently have these images playing in the library window on a large monitor, and are “wowing” everyone who walks by! Students who aren’t even “into” birds have stopped by to comment on how incredible they are (and also to remark on the great resolution).
Am ever grateful,
Merry (and the Students and Staff of Harrison Middle School)
